Ukraine Army Is Using ‘Terminator Drones’ to ‘Scare Russians’ Into Retreat | Newsweek

A Ukrainian advisor to President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that the Ukrainian military is employing the use of so called “Terminator Drones”

This clever, creative solution that our soldiers have found not to waste ammunition, not to waste artillery shells [is] … take a commercial drone, with a camera, and camouflage it to look like something out of the worst Terminator movie,” said Novikov

The advisor noted that when Russians spot a Skynet drone, they run back to base out of fear, which in turn leads Ukrainian intelligence directly to the larger Russian position.

Where do you run to? You run to your mama. Because you don’t have your mama, you run to your base. And that way, they lead us to their bases and no camouflage works against that, and then our artillery just shoots at the base … And we don’t waste any shells.”

Ukraine Uses ‘Controversial’ Artificial Intelligence Tech In Its War Against Russia As Kiev Looks To Win The ‘Digital War’

Ukraine is using facial recognition software to identify Russian Casualties.

The conflict between Ukraine and Russia has demonstrated how technology may play a significant role in modern warfare. Kyiv is aggressively utilizing social media to weaken Putin’s forces’ morale. The country is now employing facial recognition software to identify Russian personnel killed in action and notify their relatives of their deaths.

Artificial intelligence accurately predicts cardiac arrest death, researchers say | UPI

Artificial intelligence-based technology forecasts cardiac arrests months in advance. This ground-breaking technology has the potential to save countless lives.

A novel technique based on artificial intelligence and heart scans of patients can forecast if they will die of cardiac arrest. The method, termed Survival Study of Cardiac Arrhythmia Risk, develops a tailored survival estimate via neural networks. Arrhythmia-related sudden cardiac mortality accounts for up to 20% of all fatalities globally. Cardiac arrest occurs when the heart stops appropriately pumping blood, resulting in an abrupt cessation of blood flow throughout the body. According to a study, many persons who have a cardiac arrest fell ill days before the event.

10 Video Games So Good They Ruined Their Franchise

Assassin’s Creed II was the perfect sequel; it took the creative risk of relocating the action to a new location. Ubisoft believes that the only way to surpass it would be to continue adding content. Consequently, subsequent Assassin’s Creed games have been chastised for having an excessive amount of everything. Far Cry 3 solidified the franchise’s formula and contributed to its stagnation. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was the final revolutionary game in the Call of Duty series.

Final Fantasy VII established a new standard for JRPGs, which numerous imitators have attempted to emulate. The only game that counts is Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, which failed upon release in 1997. Even Final Fantasy’s remake is constantly compared to the original. Metroid Prime marked the franchise’s entrance into the three-dimensional environment and shooter genres. The game is widely considered a co-inventor of the “Metroidvania” subgenre, having established such lofty criteria for the genre that subsequent rounds struggled to live up to them.

While some successors, such as Aria of Sorrow, received widespread acclaim, they could never escape Symphony of the Night’s shadow. Silent Hill 2’s popularity and impact are nothing short of miraculous. Everything following Silent Hill 3 was a study in decreasing results, notably when Team Silent departed. Duke Nukem 3D was so good that it almost single-handedly wrecked forever. The Line sold fewer than 250,000 copies, persuading 2K to call it quits.

Rise of the Machines: This time the robots are coming for influencers | Startup daily

While many people fear that their jobs will be taken over by robots in the future, this is already occurring in an area few expected: social media influencers.

The Kardashian era seems to be coming to an end, replaced by artificial intelligence and digital influencers who are welcomed by those who are influenced by them. Professor Sean Sands of Swinburne Marketing looked at human versus artificial intelligence (AI) influencers on Instagram, comparing the Kardashians to Shudu, the world’s first digital supermodel, and Miquela, who has more than 3 million followers and describes herself as a “19-year-old Robot living in LA.” People are just as likely to follow AI influencers as they are to follow human influencers, according to a study done by Swinburne University. It might be explained by a ‘spill-over impact’ from user encounters with other AI recommendation systems, according to his study team. Simply said, we’ve been conditioned to accept AI recommendations, from Netflix streaming choices to Spotify, Amazon, and Booktopia.
