According to federal accident records and internal papers acquired by Business Insider, Amazon drones have crashed eight times in 13 months. Last June, one of those drone accidents prevented an acres-wide brush fire from crashing to the ground after falling 160 feet. Last year, the business completed almost 2,300 drone test flights. According to Amazon, the incidents were not related to customer deliveries but rather to experimental test flights.
