Senate defense policy bill looks to bolster DoD information warfare | Defense News

Senators drafting the yearly defense policy bill offered a slew of changes aimed at improving control of the Pentagon’s information warfare complex, which includes cyber, electromagnetic spectrum operations, and information operations. The Senate Armed Services Committee, unlike its House counterpart, meets annually behind closed doors and only released an overview of its completed edition of the National Defense Authorization Act last week, which was intense on new cyber stipulations in a way to bolster official capacity. Multiple new reports would also be required as part of this plan to assist the panel in having a better grasp of the potential threats.
