The Air Force Research Laboratory’s Directed Energy Directorate is searching for partners to help design a new system to counter electronic weapon systems in order to battle the ever-increasing danger of antagonistic drone activities. The Tactical High-Power Operational Responder (THOR), according to the program manager, was a huge success. It was, however, just a demonstration of the technology and idea of employing high-powered microwave weaponry to protect one’s own assets. Now is the time to combine the most advanced technology solutions with the demonstrator’s experience to create an even better combat system capable of defeating current and future threats.
