Tucson Mystery Drone Had Rotors According To Border Patrol Helicopter Aircrew’s Emails | The Drive

A Customs and Border Patrol helicopter spotted what the pilots described as a “highly modified drone” this past weekend in Tuscon near Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. A Tuscon Police helicopter was called in to aid the other bird, but both were outmaneuvered by the drone which outran them heading northwest. According to information obtained through a FOIA request the drone was a quadcopter and have reflected light from the city off its propellors. It was observed performing a GPS hover hold.
