Apple has appealed to the court of the judgment in its landmark trial against Epic, which could be worth billions of dollars and give it power of the App Store. While Apple mainly won that lawsuit, with Judge Gonzalez Rogers ruling in favor of Apple in nine of the ten claims Epic brought against the firm, it actually lost one key point: the jury ruled that Apple breached California’s anti-steering rules, and insisted that Apple encourage developers to connect to outside payment systems. That measure would have taken effect in December, but it may be extended — and that appears to be the idea.
