The Air Force Research Laboratory and the United Kingdom successfully showed new combined machine learning algorithms, demonstrating the nations’ capabilities to cooperate on artificial intelligence deployment in aid of warfighters. The partnership is part of a four-year Autonomy, and Artificial Intelligence Collaboration (AAIC) Partnership Agreement signed in December 2020 between the Air Force Research Laboratory and the Defense Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) of the United Kingdom. The partnership’s primary agency is the Air Force Research Laboratory, but the Office of the Under Secretary for Research and Engineering, the Navy, and the Army are also involved. This was the first of a planned series of demos.
