Artificial intelligence (AI) may be the most detrimental of all the possibly groundbreaking innovations. Nuclear and thermonuclear weapons may be the only similar disruptive technology. Nuclear weapons have sparked a raging debate about their moral and legal repercussions, as well as when and how they should be used, from a counterforce first attack against military objectives to counter value retaliating positions against the population and industrial centers, and “tactically” to restrict upsurge or correct conventional weapons disparities. The discussion over AI’s place in society has resurfaced, reigniting debate about equally important topics and issues.
