According to a senior National Security Agency officer, opponents to the United States are constantly changing up their ways to breach US networks in the cyberspace battle. As a result, the United States must continue to transform the strategies and technologies it employs to combat cybercriminals from countries such as China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea — and collaborate with the private sector to do so, according to David Luber, deputy director of the National Security Agency’s cybersecurity directorate, during a panel at C4ISRNET’s CyberCon. Luber said the NSA’s Cybersecurity Collaboration Center is creating algorithms to help it filter through both government signals intelligence acquired abroad and what industry experts have identified as part of its drive to engage with the private sector.
