The peak of information warfare used to be acks, leaked papers, and intelligence analysis orchestrated through social media. Today, the US military is considering a different strategy: weather. As a result, several branches have integrated meteorological units and data into their information warfare operations. Weather operations, according to Col. Patrick Williams, commander of the 557th Weather Wing, give the United States a decisive advantage and cost to its opponents.
