How augmented reality for military dogs could change how canine battle buddies operate | Army Times

Augmented reality goggle for dogs are now in the first testing phases to be used by military and law enforcement canine handlers. These goggles would allow trainers to work with dogs in augmented reality on scenarios that would be potentially too dangerous to attempt in real life. The AR can also help improve communication between the dog and its handler. “We are still in the beginning research stages of applying this technology to dogs, but the results from our initial research are extremely promising,” states Dr. A.J. Peper.
