Artificial intelligence has a lot of potentials, but it needs a lot of data to learn from, and the more diversified the data, the better. AI technologies can unearth insights and aid decision-making not just in technology but also in medicines, health, production, and other fields by learning patterns. Until today, data couldn’t always be shared because it was personally identifiable, included private information, or posed a security risk.

An unopened edition of 1985’s “Super Mario Bros” set the world record when it bought for $2 million on the collectors’ site Rally in early August. Professional grading and classification have changed the landscape, makes it much easier for customers to evaluate the quality of their transactions. While game collecting was once limited to eBay, Reddit, Facebook groups, and newsgroups, attention from high-profile auction houses is enhancing prices by introducing new collectors to the market, ranging from traditional art investors to comic book and trading card fans.

Lockheed Martin’s Legion Pod Allows Drones to Track Targets Without Radar | Interesting Engineering

With the Legion Pod, Lockheed Martin makes another big step forward in Manned-Unmanned Teaming (MUM-T) operations. 

Drones are becoming increasingly self-sufficient. They can operate in groups and even choose their victims on their own. They do, however, rely extensively on radars to help them know their own and their targets’ whereabouts. Lockheed Martin has a novel solution that works in radar-jammed settings, and they tested it on General Atomics’ Avenger Drone in July. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has been working on unmanned aircraft systems for some time.

Policymakers in the United States should pay attention to avoid making a similar blunder. The proposed Artificial Intelligence Act (AIA) in the EU will divide AI operations into categories based on their assessed danger level.
