A bug in Honda is an indicator of the exuberant car-attack surface that could give hackers easy victims.

As the auto industry continues to develop and implement the use of smart car technology and EV’s open up a wide array of possibility for cyber attackers and hackers. A recent vulnerability found in the automaker system has been found to affect both Honda and Acura keyless entry functions. The radio signals in which entry less key fobs communicate with the vehicle are easily intercepted, which in turn allows a threat actor to unlock, lock or even start the car.
