Customers no longer have to wait for long periods of time just to bug something. Robots are now being used by corporations to make the procedure easier. Walgreens, for example, is automating the filling of prescriptions, while Sprinkles and Starbucks are replacing cashiers with tablets. According to Molly Harnischfeger, a director of AlixPartners’ consumer-insights team, these changes in the business sphere have occurred as companies struggle to locate people and pay greater rates.
