Citizens under the age of 18 in China have lately been subjected to new gaming limitations, allowing them to play video games for only one hour on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and major holidays between the hours of 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. This appears to be causing problems for game servers, as a large influx of players on Saturday led Honor of Kings – one of the region’s most popular mobile games – to go offline. Although no official reason for the server outage has been revealed, it’s clear that the additional limits played a significant effect.
