Inspector General criticizes documentation on Pentagon’s artificial intelligence project | C4ISRNET

An inspector general from the Department of Defense recently investigated the Pentagon. For Project Maven, the director-general assessed whether the government was monitoring interactions in conformity with federal laws and regulations. The Pentagon was found to have failed to appropriately record development on its premier artificial intelligence system. All state institutions associated with Project Maven’s collaborative partnership and four agreements were effectively controlled and maintained, according to the inspector general.

What will the US Space Force be able to do with its new GPS III variant? | C4ISRNET

The United States Space Force has yet to deploy all of its GPS III satellites, but construction on new, more sophisticated models is already beginning. The new GPS III Follow-on satellites, or GPS IIIF for short, will increase the constellation’s precision and interference resistance. Five of the intended GPS III satellites have been deployed, while three more have been deemed “ready for launch” but are being stored by prime contractor Lockheed Martin. The other two are still being tested. Lockheed Martin has a deal with the Space Force for up to 22 GPS IIIF satellites.

Cyber risks add to climate threat, World Economic Forum warns | NPR

Cybersecurity and space have emerged as major hazards to the global economy, in addition to the current difficulties presented by climate change and the coronavirus pandemic. This is according to the World Economic Forum’s Global Risks Report, which was released on Tuesday. According to the survey, cyber assaults are growing more aggressive and pervasive as hackers employ more sophisticated strategies to target increasingly susceptible targets. It was also said that failure to act on climate change, extreme weather, and biodiversity loss as the top three dangers on the earth’s wellbeing over the next decade.

Smart Shooter just launched SMASH Dragon, an armed drone system that can strike both stationary and moving targets while hovering. The SMASH Dragon is an advanced robotic armament cargo that can be installed on different drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles. It integrates the firm’s combat-proven SMASH technology, which assures accurate shooting of hostile objects and people. While it has not yet been put into service, it has passed live-fire testing and is in the final phases of development. Smart Shooter offers a variety of devices, including the SMASH 2000, which provides troops with precision anti-drone technology built into their weapon.

Many people believe that the metaverse is already present in video games. However, this isn’t always true, especially because the metaverse is its own entity. However, several games or game modes already have this functionality, such as the metaverse, which offers similar features. Massive multiplayer online role-playing games, or MMORPGs, are one example in which users can enter the game and assume the persona of another player or a generated avatar. The primary distinction is that modern MMOs still focus on tales, although with a more relaxed attitude to executing them, but the metaverse will allow users complete control over their life, task, goal, and whole life.
