Air Force cyber school will add online training tool | C4ISRNET

In its upcoming curriculum, the Air Force will be introducing the Persistent Cyber Training Environment for its students. The Persistent Cyber Training Environment (PCTE) is an online training platform that enables soldiers from the US Cyber Command to sign in anywhere in the world for individual or community training and mission training sessions. PCTE’s long-term objective is to serve as the training ground for the cyber mission army. The services have mainly used PCTE for active-duty unit training and drills to date.

Tough Conditions and Contested Communication Are Forcing the US Military To Reinvent AI | Defense One

The US Special Operations Command, or SOCOM, is collaborating with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, or DARPA, on new projects and experiments to introduce artificial intelligence to operators operating in areas where the computational resources and data needed to operate commercial AI applications aren’t available. This entails fully re-inventing artificial intelligence from the ground up and gaining entirely new insights into how humans interact with it. With this, SOCOM is creating an entirely new concept of artificial intelligence to determine which problems operators face could be solved with a small amount of AI.
