The Army Is Testing Arming Its Light Tactical Vehicles With Drones | The Drive

In a test done on May 13, the US military has tried launching the Area-I small Agile-Launch Tactically Integrated Unmanned System drone, or ALTIUS, for the first time. Specifically, they deployed the ALTIUS in one of the two Pneumatically Integrated Launch Systems (PILS) mounted on a DAGOR ultra-light tactical vehicle. ALTIUS has previously been used from Army unmanned aircraft MQ-1C and UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters.

Will the cyber mission force soon receive more personnel? | C4ISRNET

The United States Cyber Command commander implied on Friday that his cyber force might be expanding soon. According to Gen. Paul Nakasone, they expect to look at certain crucial elements as they set out the case, which will affect the potential scale of the cyber task force, which currently has 133 teams. The cyber task force presently has 6,187 designated posts, with 238,000 staff in the Department of Defense’s cyberspace operations forces. Those cyber mission force teams have evolved to respond to challenges, giving commanders the flexibility to coordinate their troops as needed.

Researchers develop artificial intelligence that can detect sarcasm in social media | Science Daily

Computer science researchers at the University of Central Florida created a system that reliably senses sarcasm in social media content. The team successfully guided the computer model to look for clues that often signify sarcasm. They have thought the system to select cue words in sets too that were more likely to state sarcasm. They trained the system on how to do this by giving it massive data sets, which they then tested for reliability.
