With space being the newest war-fighting domain, many unknowns remain unaddressed in the implementation of cybersecurity for the protection of U.S. space assets. Unarguably more challenging than other well-established domains, safeguarding systems that facilitate essential global communications and operations have taken the “Space Race” on a new dimension of integrating space cybersecurity into existing and emerging frameworks and systems. This report reveals cross-agency plans that tie up and strengthen the position of the US in every, if not all domains.
