Gigabyte’s GP-P750GM and GP-P850GM power supplies are said to be at high risk of major malfunction or failure, according to multiple reports. These power supplies have even gone out with a boom in some circumstances. Aristeidis Bitziopoulos, a well-known PSU reviewer, first mentioned the problem in his TechPowerUp review in late 2020. He concludes in this assessment that “this one, in contrast to the Aorus PSU series, which was shockingly decent, is a letdown…. To begin with, my sample perished during the overpower analysis, which is a huge disappointment. The major switching FETs blew up spectacularly.”
